VistaPrint’s Free Business Cards

VistaPrint.com Logo

VistaPrint.com is an online business card printing service. You may recognize their name and logo from the FREE BUSINESS CARDS advertisements littered on pages throughout the web.

Ordering “Free” Business Cards from VistaPrint.com

The website is easy to navigate and provides a design preview which is slightly sluggish but allows you to fine tune your business card, provided you have the patience. Although most of VistaPrint’s pre-designed business cards are cheesy, if you look thoroughly, you will be able to find simple, classic designs.

Too Good to be True

The “free” business cards will actually cost you a bit of money and more than a reasonable amount of consternation.

The processing and delivery charges seem to vary, depending on which card style you pick out. For our cheesy American Flag business cards - the least expensive option is 21 day shipping for $5.45.

The paper stock that the cards are printed on are matte - which we endorse at businesscard-reviews.com. However, the weight of the free paper is less than desireable. Just to upgrade to the industry-standard 100 lb (comparable to 14 pt) paper will cost you $12.99 for just 250 cards. Already, we are racking up quite a hefty sum for our allegedly “free” business cards.

If you are looking to coordinate the design of your business card with stationery or other business needs, VistaPrint.com can assist you.

Outrageous Default Advertising

Your business card represents both your business and you personality. While we admire VistaPrint’s marketing ingenuity, we cannot reccomend any serious business to allow the VistaPrint logo and slogan on the back of each and every free card.

The luxury of not advertising for VistaPrint will cost you $3.99.

Free = $22.43

The total for our 250 business cards came out to $22.43. This price is not necessarily unreasonable, but it is hardly free.

If you are looking for cheap business cards, we recommend that you purchase your cards from a company that advertises a fee that more closely approximates what the cards will cost.
